School Site Council (SSC)

The School Site Council is a group that is represented by parents, teachers, students, classified employees, counselors, and an administrator whose purpose is to oversee and advise the School Site Plan in order to improve instruction and services for students. The School Site Council assists with developing, reviewing, and evaluating the school’s categorical programs and budgets. The members of the School Site Council are elected by their peers on a yearly basis.

11th Grade - Joshua Zedalis
10th Grade (Chairperson) - Grace Fogel
9th Grade - Kolton Schmidt
 

SSC Meetings:

The School Site Council members will meet during the 2015/16 school year on the third Thursday of the month in MPR Staff Lounge at 3:00pm.

More Stuff You Need To Know

Yucaipa High School


Students wishing to request independent study must come in to the Attendance office for a packet and notify teachers two weeks prior to the start of the independent study. Any questions, please see the Attendance office.

Saturday School is held in the Library from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Bring your homework, books, etc.

Attention all students: School policy requires you to carry your school ID CARD every day! If you have lost your card come to the Activities office, at lunch, with $5 to get a new one made.

PE Academy: Will be held selected Saturdays from 8am to noon. The Academy is the best way to have some fun on a Saturday morning with your friends. Play volleyball, tennis, basketball, etc., and get PE credit!!!! Or, just come, join the fun and put PE points in the bank to improve your PE grade. Remember to wear your PE clothes! Anyone who must attend Saturday school may choose to come to the PE Academy instead and get PE credit. You must see Coach Harrison ASAP for a permission slip.

Attention all students: Important reminder from the attendance office. Any student who is late to school must have a note or a phone call from a parent or guardian or they will be sent to lock-out for the remainder of the period. Each student is allowed 3 tardies per semester.

Attention all students: Need help with tough classes? Peer Tutoring is every afternoon except Friday, from 3:00 to 3:45 in the Library. It’s always free and no appointment is ever needed!

Late Start days: The following days are Late Start days, with 1st period classes starting at 8:58 AM and Period 0 classes at 8:05 AM :

  • 2014 - 1/13, 1/27, 2/3, 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/31, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19

Parents & students be sure to create a parent and student log-in for our School Fusion site. You must have your student’s 10-digit permanent identification number to create the School Fusion account. School Fusion is a very valuable resource for both parents & students. Students can get assistance with their School Fusion account from Mr. Slider in room M-205. Parents will need to visit principal's secretary in the front office for help with School Fusion.

Athletics Letter

Will continue to be handed out as usual as per coach's discretion.

Academics Letter

3.5 or higher for 2 consecutive semesters.   Will continue to be distributed by Susan Johnson at the Academic Achievement recognition (formerly known as bars and stars) event in October

Activities Letter

ROTC, Community Service, Fine Arts, Improv, Dance, Speech & Debate, etc... Will be ordered and housed in the activities office.  Individual groups can purchase the letters from ASB to distribute in accordance with approved criteria
